Brenda is passionate about education and enjoys splitting her time between practicing and teaching.

Brenda is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, Austin Advanced Practice Nurses, and the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.

In addition to primary care medicine, she counsels regarding healthy lifestyle and weight loss in patients with diabetes, arthritis, high blood pressure, heart disease, and other chronic illnesses. She is fluent in Spanish and has a special interest in mental health.
