About Dr. Kaviani

Dr. Babak Kaviani provides podiatry services at Austin Primary Care Physicians in Austin, Texas. Dr. Kaviani’s practice focuses on pediatric foot and ankle correction as well as sports medicine and biomechanics. Additionally, he is trained in the conservative and surgical management of clubfoot deformity, including the Ponseti method of casting.

He received his medical degree from Shiraz Medical School, Iran, in 1997. After moving to the United States, he continued his medical education in Podiatric Medicine and Foot & Ankle Reconstructive Surgery and graduated in 2005 from Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia.

He went on to complete a surgical residency in foot and ankle medicine and surgery in Los Angeles. During his residency, Dr. Kaviani had the privilege of being the Chief Resident of the Baja Project for Crippled Children. He traveled to Mexico, Honduras, and El Salvador for surgical mission trips.

After completing his residency in 2008, Dr. Kaviani began practicing podiatric medicine in Texas with his wife, Liza, also a podiatrist. Dr. Kaviani is fluent in English and Farsi.
